What is BEY?

A home-education provision for 10–18-year-olds with a primary focus on character building and secondary focus on attaining GCSEs.

We believe that young people are holistic beings – mind, body, heart and soul – and we nurture these aspects in unison not in silo, so the next generations grow into emotionally strong young people as individuals but also inspiring the wider community.

All teachers are professional secondary school teachers with a wealth of knowledge and experience. They are dedicated to educating (not schooling) young people in their specialist subjects.

No. We take in boys and girls between the ages of 10-18year old.

No. We only cater for KS3 and KS4 young people.

8 – Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language, English Literature, Religious Studies and History.

When we (as professionals) and you (as parents) feel the child are ready. We do not set a specific age.

There is an additional cost of GCSE exams which may range between £200-£250 depending on the subject and year.

We are not a school. We are a club. Although we are not an Islamic club, we do follow an Islamic ethos and so our expectations are in line with our ethos.

No. Our sessions are on-site in Birmingham.

Our class sizes are small and range between 8-12 youngsters

For MTF/BEY enrichment on Thursdays you can, but not for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday sessions. You need to bring your child to all 3 days.

Assessments will take place every half term and feedback will be given to parents in January and then in May through parents’ meeting. Reports are provided at the end of each year.

Fees are calculated according to the 33 weeks at BEY. This must be paid in advance and includes a non-refundable £1000 deposit and the first month/term fees upon registration. Fees can be paid yearly, termly or monthly. Whether you take time off or not, the fee stands.

The £1000 deposit is non-refundable and must be paid upon registration.

We may provide some extra days or masterclass sessions during the year for revision. This will be at an additional cost and will be communicated to the parent as and when.

BEY works in partnership with MTF to organises trips every half term. This also incurs additional costs and usually takes place on Thursdays. Parents will need to fill in a google form if they wish their child to take part. If the youngster does not take park, they will need to remain at home with their families for that day.

It is your right, as a home-educating parent, to take holidays whenever you wish to do so. If this is during BEY hours, please let us know. It is your responsibility to cover any of the materials during your child’s absence. There is no reduction of fees during these times.
