Youngsters have the opportunity to leave BEY having acquired a minimum of 5 GCSE, and a maximum of 8 GCSE. These are:

Assessment and progress

Assessments

Assessments are done twice every half term, one teacher assessment and one main assessment, and these are shared with parents at the end of each half term.

Reports

Pre-GCSE reports and predicted grades are given to parents in January and full reports in June of each year. We follow a READ reporting system focusing on how well the young person Recalls information, is Engaged in lessons, Apply their understanding to questions and practical application, and how Developed their writing and synthesis is.

Exams

GCSE exams take place through partnership with arc exams www.arcexams.co.uk

Broad and balance curriculum

Lessons are planned and structured to fuel the child’s curiosity and love for learning. We incorporate different learning styles and tools to differentiate and support each child as well as their needs.

KS3 and KS4 pathways are found in parent packs.
